Jan 23rd (23/365): The most points scored in a single game by Michael Jordan with the Chicago Bulls was 69 points scored against the Cleveland Cavs. Afterwards, Kobe Bryant with the L.A Lakers is the only player to exceed Jordan's point total with 81 points scored against the Toronto Raptors. Since Kobe's 81 the only player to exceed 60 points was Gilbert Arenas with the Washington Wizzards who reached 60 points against the L.A. Lakers.

In 1999 Aflac was huge in the world of insurance but it wasn't a household name, so a New York advertising agency was given the task of making the Aflac brand more memorable. One of the agency's art directors, while walking around Central Park one lunchtime, heard a duck quacking and in his mind linked it with "Aflac", and that duck has been "Aflacking" ever since ...

Jan. 4th (4/365): in solving my crossword puzzle I learned how Aflac and the duck was united:

Jan. 3rd (3/365): when kicking a football towards your opponents end zone in college the spot is where the ball is touched even if the defender is in the end zone where as in the pros if the defender touches the end zone the ball is a touchback.

January 1st (1/365): while watching the Fiesta Bowl on ESPN I heard from Chris Spelman that coaches teach the centers to keep their butts down to control the direction of the football when snapped.
